The PGA Tour is going to be holding the Wyndham Championship this week, from August 18th to the 21st in Greensboro, North Carolina. The venue is the Sedgefield Country Club and the purse for this tournament is $5,200,000, with the winner taking home $918,000 and 500 FedEx Cup points. This event saw Arjun Atwal take the win last year. Next on the calendar, the PGA Grand Slam of Golf at the Port Royal Golf Course, October 18th through the 19th. The last PGA Tournament completed this year is the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, won by Adam Scott.

The purse is $5,100,000 and the winner this year gets to take home 500 FedEx Cup points and a top prize of $918,000. The tournament begins on Monday, August 16th but the first round of golf won't actually be played for the pros until Thursday. They get one practice on Tuesday, however. Round two will be on Friday, August 20th, with the third on Saturday. Sunday is the final round for Wyndham, on August 22nd. The course that the Wyndham Championship will be played on is the Par 70 course at the Sedgefield Country Club. This venue is a great one to play on, with a total yardage of 7,130.
