Last tournament was won by Bill Haas at the Humana Challenge.

PGA Tour reaches Scottsdale, Arizona for Waste Management Phoenix Open 2014, a tournament scheduled to run from January 30th to February 2nd. The purse of the tournament is decided at $6,200,000. Out of this, the winner will be entitled to a share of $1,116,000, plus an added bonus of a massive 500 FedExCup points for the race in world ratings. As the tournament opening draws near, Phil Mickelson steps onto the golf course with every possible strategy to shield his trophy and take it back home. The defending champion has been experiencing pain in the lower back but refuses to give way to it and continues to consult his doctor about the matter.
While Mickelson hopes to win the title for the fourth time, the experts point at Keegan Bradley as the likely champion of the tournament this year. Among the notable titles of the 27-year old favorite is his 2011 PGA title. English and Reed have also stepped onto the course to bring to their records a double win at the start of 2014.
