US Open Championships 2011 Live

Coming up this weekend is the U.S. Open of Golf Live, which is the third tournament in the month of June on the PGA Tour, and will be followed by the CVS Caremark Charity Classic, held at the Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington with a million and a half in the purse, and scheduled to happen June 20^th through the 21^st.

The U.S. Open, one of the biggest tournaments on the PGA Tour Calender and which is going to be held June 16^th through the 19^th and is at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, featuring a huge $7,500,000 purse and 600 points towards the FedEx Cup. The tournament was won last year by Graeme McDowell who walked away with prestige and honors, or winning such a large tournament against an amazing field, but also with a check for $1,350,000 and FedEx points towards the end-of-year championship.

There are some great players in the field for the U.S. Open this year. Here are just a few of them. Robert Allenby from Australia will be playing along with Jonathan Byrd and Angel Cabrera. Paul Casey from England and K.J. Choi. Also playing will be Fred Funk, Sergio Garcia, Jim Furyk, Luke Donald and Jason Day.
