The PGA Tour will finish out June with the Travelers Championship which will be held in the amazing and picturesque Cromwell, Connecticut, home of The TPC River Highlands which joins the Tournament Players Club series of golf courses for what will be nearly the final PGA golf tournament in the month of June. Between the U.S. Open and the AT&T National, which will be hosted by Tiger Woods, comes the Travelers Championship on June 25^th through the 28^th at the TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, CN. Woods will be defending his U.S. Open title a week earlier, at the Bethpage State Park Golf Club on Long Island. Woods is still recovering from recent knee surgery, but will host the AT&T National from the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. Although the Travelers Championship fell where expected this year, a schedule change came from the PGA Tour Policy Board moving the Valero Texas Open to May 14^th through the 17^th, from where it was previously placed in the Fall Series. It replaced the discontinued FedEx Cup Atlanta tourney.

Committing to the tournament this year is FedEx Cup points leader Zach Johnson, as well as David Toms and Chris DiMarco. The 2009 field also includes Stuart Appleby, Woody Austin, Chad Campbell, Sergio Garcia, Paul Goydos, Bubba Watson, Vinjay Singh, who is the current FedEx Cup Champion, Kenny Perry, Justin Rose, Cory Pavin, Rod Pampling.

Sean O'Hair and Nick O'Hern are playing, as well as Justin Leonard, Anthony Kim, Hunter Mahen and Billy Mayfair. This is one of the biggest tournaments of the year, and these players will be competing for an incredible $6,000,000 dollar purse on the 25^th. 2008 defending champion Stewart Cink will also be playing this year.
