It's the 21st Annual Shark Shootout, part of the PGA Tour for 2009. The tournament takes place December 9th through the 13th and the field includes some pretty great names, with 24 professional golfers taking part in this event. It's sponsored by Merrill Lynch and is hosted this year by Greg Norman, member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. The format is 12 two man teams with $3,000,000 dollars up for grabs as these golfers compete starting on Wednesday. Last year's champions were Scott Hoch and Kenny Perry. Tuesday the golfers will get a chance to practice, and then Wednesday, the official start of the tournament, will be the first round of the Pro-Am tournament, with the second round on Thursday. The first round of the regular tournament starts Friday, with round two on Saturday and then Sunday, December 13th will be the final round for The Shark Shootout.

Mark Calcavecchia is also on the list, first having competed in this tournament in 1989 as well as Tim Clark, Kenny Perry, Ian Poulter and Scott Kerplank.
