This week on the PGA Tour the RBC Heritage will be held at the Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The purse is $5.7 million and there are 500 FedEx Cup points up for grabs as well. The grand prize for this event is $1,026,000 and the winner of it last was Brandt Snedeker. The tournament happens April1 2th through the 15th and will be followed by the Valero Texas Open, which is April 19th through the 22nd at the TPC San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. The purse for that one is $6.2 million and it also offers 500 FedEx Cup points.

Those that will be participating in the tournament this year include Mark Anderson, Stephen Ames and Kevin Na as well as Brian Gay, Jim Furyk, Tim Gillis and Sean O'Hair. Other names that are going to be on the field include Rich Beem, Ricky Barnes, Briny Baird and Joe Ogilvie. The PGA Tour will hold a tournament in South Carolina next week, and then we move onto the April 28th through May 1st Zurich Classic of New Orleans at the TPC Louisiana. That tournament is worth $6,400,000 and will be followed by the Wells Fargo Championship, which will be held May 5th through the 8th in Charlotte, North Carolina. Next week's tournament is called The Heritage, and it is one stop in South Carolina, with the PGA making another for the Wells Fargo Championship afterward. The Heritage will be played from April 21st through the 24th and the purse if $5,700,000. The venue will be the Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head, South Carolina with Jim Furyk winning the event last year and then taking home a prize of $1,026,000 and 500 FedEx Cup points. The runner up by virtue of a playoff last year was Brian Davis, and Furyk is back this year to defend his title, as will Davis.

Others on the field for the 2011 edition of The Heritage include Brian Gay, Stephen Ames, Tom Gillis, Sean O'Hair, Stuart Appleby and Kevin Na. Lucas Glover is also expected along with Chad Campbell, Trevor Immelman, Keegan Bradley, Justin Hicks and John Daly as well as Lee Janzen, Henrik Stenson, Fred Funk and Graeme McDowell.
