The Bob Hope Classic Live

Joining the tournaments this month that make up the beginning of the 2011 season of the professional golf circuit like the Hyundai Tournament of Champions and the Sony Open in Hawaii is the Bob Hope Classic live. This will be followed by the final event in January, the Farmer's Insurance Open the 27^th through the 30^th, and the first tournament in February, the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The Bob Hope Classic happens at the PGA West Course at the Palmer and Nicklaus courses in La Quinta, California, January 19^th through the 23^rd, which is located at the La Quinta Country Club venue. The purse for this tournament is $5,000,000 and the winner will walk away with $900,000 as well as 500 FedEx Cup points. The winner last year was Bill Haas and he will be back to defend his title this year as well. Last year, tying for second place in the tournament after Haas was Matt Kuchar, Tim Clark and Bubba Watson.

The field for the Bob Hope Classic includes Stephen Ames, Blake Adams and Ricky Barnes as well as Lee Janzen, Tag Ridings, Cameron Beckman and Jerry Kelly. The largest Pro-Am tournament of the year happens in a week, The Bob Hope Classic Live, which is from January 18^th through the 24^th. This is the 51^st edition of the tournament with a new sponsor, Franklin American Mortgage Company. The Classic Courses include the Palmer Private at PGA West, the Nicklaus Private at PGA West, the Silver Rock Resort and the La Quinta Country Club.
