On the PGA Tour this week is the Justin Timberlake Shriner's Hospitals for Children Open, won last year by Jonathan Byrd, taking home almost exactly three quarters of a million dollars. The Justin Timberlake Shriner's Hospitals for Children Open will be held October 21^st through October 24^th and the TPC Summerlin in the fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. The Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is going to be October 12^th through October 18^th, with a big fat purse of $4.2 million dollars and world class sponsor. The Shriners Hospitals are 22 networked pediatric hospitals that operate completely nonprofit and at no charge to the patient. The only requirement is that they are under eighteen and treatable. The event is held in Las Vegas, Nevada and the winner of the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open gets to watch away with a check for three quarters of a million dollars.

The course is the TPC Summerlin where last year Marc Turnesa won his very first PGA Tour Title with a final of four under 68. He was able to stay ahead of Matt Kuchar by a stroke. It was a big season for rookies last year as Turnesa was the fourth to win his first PGA Tour Title, having began with opening round scores of 62, 64 and 69. That brought him from 138^th to 75^th ranked as well as putting a cool quarter million dollars in his pocket. Third place was taken by John Mallinger and Michael Allen, who both tied for that spot.

This year's tournament looks to be no less lacking excitement than last year, and past winners included Turnesa, Troy Matteson in 2005 and George McNeill in 2007.
