Quail Hollow Championship Live

Another stop on the PGA Tour happens this week in South Charlotte. The Quail Hollow Championship has been held at this venue since 2003 and is going to be an exciting week as the total purse equals $6,500,000 dollars. 

This tournament is attracting all of the great players in golf, including golf legend Tiger Woods, who won the tournament in 2007. Anthony Kim took home the trophy in 2008 winning more than $1,150,000 in prize money.

The course at Quail Hollow Country Club opened in 1961 and this will be the first year the Quail Hollow Championship will not be called the Wachovia Championship. The tournament starts on Thursday with rounds one and two being played Thursday and Friday, April 30^th and May 1^st. Then, rounds three and four will be played on May 2^nd and 3^rd - Saturday and Sunday. 

The Quail Hollow Course in Charlotte, North Carolina is lined with pines, oaks and 18 holes of challenges. The tournament will feature international players such as Adam Scott, Sergio Garcia, Peter Lonard, Stuart Appleby and Mike Wier.

Tiger Woods is of course the player to watch in this tournament, He was recovering from knee surgery last year and didn't compete to defend his 2006 title, but he has played in four tournaments this year.
