The purse for this tournament is $3,500,000 and last year Derek Lamely walked away with the grand prize of $630,000 plus 250 FedEx Points. He will be back to defend again this year with the prize money and points the same. The previous tournament to this one that has finished is the World Golf Championships – Accenture Match Play Championship, and it was won by Luke Donald.

The practice rounds begin on Monday, March 8th, for the pros, as well as beginning the Pro-Am, and then the Pro-Am finishes practices and starts up on Wednesday, March 10th, with the first round on Thursday. Then we have a round each day until the final round on Sunday. This tournament is 72 holes and is in stroke play format, and the course is 7,569 Yards. This tournament has only been played twice before, with Michael Bradley from the United States taking the title last year, and then another American, Greg Kraft winning in 2008.

This year, the field includes some great names such as Fred Funk, John Daly, Boo Weekley, Rocco Mediate as well as defending champion Michael Bradley and Blake Adams.
