On the PGA Tour this week is the final of our three featured events on the Tour, the President's Cup, held at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, in Victoria, Australia, from November 17th to the 20th. This event follows the other two featured events this year, the first from October 27th to the 30th called the CIMB Asia Pacific Classic Malaysia, and won by Bo Van Pelt, and the other the World Golf Championships HSBC Champions held in Shanghai, China from the 3rd of November to the 6th. Martin Kaymer won that event.

The 2011 US Team Captain is Fred Couples and others on the US Team include Matt Kuchar, Steve Stricker and Dustin Johnson as well as Webb Simpson, Nick Watney and Phil Mickelson. As for the International Team, their captain is Greg Norman, and the international players include Charl Schwartzel, K.J. Choi, Adam Scott and Jason Day. The 2009 President's Cup will be held this year October 6th through the 12th from the Harding Park Golf Course, in San Francisco, California. Harding Park is located on a peninsula that is surrounded by Lake Merced in the South west corner of San Francisco. It is considered one of the greatest experiences in the world to golf there, since extensive renovations were undertaken in 2002. This year the course is a Par 72 and is 7,137 Yards. The U.S. Team this year is Captained by Fred Couples and has Jay Haas as Co-Captain. The two Captain's picks are Lucas Glover and Hunter Mahan while the top men on the U.S. Team include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Kenny Perry, Zach Johnson, Steve Stricker, Stewart Cink, Sean O'Hair, Jim Furyk, Justin Leonard and Anthony Kim. The Captain of the International Team, Greg Norman, as well as Co-Captain Frank Nobilo picked Adam Scott and Ryo Ishikawa while the rest of the international team includes Geoff Ogilvy, Camilo Villegas, Regief Goosen, Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.

The tournament is held every two years, and in 2007 it was Captained by Jack Nicklaus for the U.S. Team while Greg Norman Captained the International Team. It was held at the Royal Montreal Golf Club in Quebec, Canada and the United States won that tournament. The United States also won in 2005 and in 2003 it was a tie.
