The 2015 Humana Challenge, part of the 2015 PGA Tour is to take place from January 25th 2015. The tournament is held each year from 1960. This year the tournament is being held in La Quinta California. This tournament was previously known as the Bob Hope Classic. In 2012 the Humana changed the tournament into a traditional four round tournament.
The La Quinta Country Club is 7,060 yards long and has a par of 72. The total prize money is $ 5, 700,000 and the winner gets $ 1, 026,000 from it. The tournament record score is held jointly by Joe Durant and Patrick Read of United States of America. The former did it in 2001 while the latter in 2014. The record aggregate score is 324 in 2001 when the par was 90 and now it is 260 when the par is 72. The to par record was - 36 set in 2001 now it is - 28.
The legendary Arnold Palmer has won this tournament a record five times in 1960, 62, 68, 71 and 73. Other multiple winners are Billy Casper, John Cook, John Mahaffey, Phil Mickelson, Johnny Miller and Corey Pavin. They have all won it twice.

On the PGA Tour, the Humana Challenge will be held this week in partnership with the Clinton Foundation. It features a purse of $5,600,000 and will be played from January 17th to the 20th at the PGA West Palmer Course in La Quinta, California. The tournament features 500 FedEx Cup points and last year, Mark Wilson walked away with the prize of $1,008,000. The next tournament coming up on the PGA calender is the Farmer's Insurance Open, which is from the 24th of January to the 27th at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California.
Johnson Wagner was the recipient of the $990,000 in prize money for the most recently played tournament on the PGA Tour, the Sony Open in Hawaii. It happened from the 10th of January to the 13th with a $5,600,000. Before that was the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at the Plantation Course at Kapulau, in Hawaii. Playing in this tournament are Steve Elkingtn, Matt Kuchar, Keith Fergus and Justin Leonard as well as Trevor Immelman, Zach Johnson, Stuart Appleby and Stephen Ames. Rich Beem and Harris English are also on the field.

The PGA Tour holds two tournaments in Hawaii at the beginning of the year. The first is the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, and the other is the Sony Open in Hawaii. After that, there is the Humana Challenge in partnership with the Clinton Foundation. This tournament is the 19th of January to the 22nd, and up for grabs is $5,600,000. It is played at PGA West on the Palmer Course or Nicklaus Course in La Quinta, as well as the La Quinta Country Club in California. Jhonattan Vegas is the defending champ, taking home $900,000 last year.
