The HP Byron Nelson Championship 2014 will be held at the TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas. The 7166 yard par 70 course features several ponds, strategically placed bunkers, surging greens and narrow tree lined fairways. The wind is set to play a major factor this week at the HP Byron Nelson Championship 2014. If the wind stays away from the course, playing on it will be relatively easier and low scoring will be a must for anyone who is looking to do well here. On the other hand, if the wind makes its presence felt, the fate of this tourney will be left to the accurate grinders.
The weather forecast for the weeks tell us that the winds are likely to blow up to speeds of 17.2 miles per hour on the Sunday. As such, although the course is pretty short, it will be interesting to see how the golfers cope with the wind which is expected to affect play on the Sunday. Factors which will help decide who wins the $6,900,000 event with the winner’s share at $1,242,000 would be GIR, putting, and of course, driving accuracy in testing conditions. Golfers with a history of performing well in windy conditions have a great opportunity to win the HP Byron Nelson Championship 2014.
