July 8th through the 11th, will be a tournament on the LPGA Tour worth $3,250,000, called the US Womens Open Championship Live. This tournament will be the second one on the LPGA Tour, the first the one million dollar Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic Presented by Kroger. This tournament is not co-sponsored by the LPGA Tour and it began in in 1946. This event has been running the longest of any other tournament on the LPGA Tour and is one of the four Majors that the tour holds. The format is 72 holes and the defending champion is Eun-Hee Ji, who won with a score of 71-72-70-71 and 284. The runner up was Candie Kung who lost by only one stroke. The ladies will play the tournament in Oakmont, Pennsylvania at the Oakmont Country Club and should be a great event to watch.
