In the event last year Eduardo Romero managed to squeak by with the title even though he only managed a plus 3 (73) on the final day. That was the second major title for Romero and he would love to repeat the explosive start that he had last year. He opened the tournament with three straight days in the 60's and even put together a sparkling 65 on the third day of the event. Even with his struggles on the last day he managed to beat out front runner Fred Funk by a total of four shots.

Aside from Romero, Loren Roberts and Michael Allen have won the first two major tournaments on the year so far. It was not an easy win for Roberts as he had to battle it out in three playoff holes to pull the Senior British title away from Fred Funk and Mark McNulty.

Throughout history there are seven players who have managed to win both the U.S Open and U.S Senior Open including Jack Nicklaus, Billy Casper, Orville Moody, Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, hale Irwin and Lee Trevino.

WatchLiveGolf will have live streaming coverage of the U.S Senior Open Championship throughout the entire weekend. See if Romero can defend his title or if the likes of Fred Funk can handle the course at Broadmoor and pull out another major victory.

This week is the U.S. Senior Open Championship, from July 27th to August 2nd, as part of the PGA's Champion Tour this year. It will be played at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana, a Par 72, 7300 Yard Course that is nestled in the middle of a group of coniferous trees in northern Indiana. The first round will commence on Thursday, July 30th with a 7:45 AM Tee Time, with some of the greatest names in golf history traveling to the beautiful Indiana course to play.

The Champion's Tour is a tour run by the PGA for golfers over 50 and includes some of the best golfers in the world. The money leader for the Champions Tour this year is Bernhard Langer from Germany, who has a total of $1,590,086 in earnings so far this year. In second place, with just over a million dollars is Loren Roberts, with Mark McNulty, Andy Bean and Fred Funk in third, fourth and fifth place on the money leaders list respectively.

Last year, Eduardo Romero won the Champion's Tour event, winning his second title in three events, the U.S Senior Open, The Senior British Open and the Dick's Sporting Goods Open, taking first at the U.S. Senior and Dick's Sporting Goods, and third at the Senior British Open. This was his third career title on the circuit, joining a short list of golfers that have won twice or more in the 2008 season including Jay Haas, Scott Hoch, Bernhard Langer, Denis Watson and Tom Watson. Romero is the second golfer from Argentina to take this tournament, after Roberto De Vicenzo. The 54 year old shot 73 in the final round to beat Fred Funk by four strokes.
