RR Donnelley Founders Cup Live

On the LPGA Tour this week is the RR Donnelley Founder Cup, a tournament that honors the founding women of the Ladies Professional Golf Association. It happens March 15^th through the 18^th in Phoenix, Arizona, and it is worth $1,5000,0000. The tournament will be played at the Wildfire Golf Club at the J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. This tournament will be followed by the Kia Classic, which is held March 22^nd through the 25^th in Carlsbad, California for a million seven, and then the last tournament this month is the Kraft Nabisco Championship.

Some of the players that will be participating in this LPGA tournament include Karlin Beck and Amanda Blumenherst, as well as Christel Boelion. Heather Bowie Young will also be playing along with Nicole Castrale and Cydney Clanton. Paula Creamer is expected to attend as is Marcy Hart, Sandra Gal and Katie Futcher. The LPGA Tour will be heading to Phoenix, Arizona to play the annual RR Donnelley LPGA Founders Cup, which will take place at the Wildfire Golf Club at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa. The field is large consisting of 134 players who will be playing the tournament for the Cup of the same name. This event happens March 18^th - 20^th and is unique and honors the past of the LPGA and showcases the future. The charity tournament benefits the LPGA Foundation and the LPGA-USGA Girl's Golf Programs. They will receive $500,000 on the day the tournament ends and another $500,000 will be given to player chosen charities. This is the first time that the event has returned to Phoenix, Arizona since 2009, but Phoenix has seen some great events throughout the years, with 28 different LPGA players taking wins in the city. Laura Davies has won the most events held in Phoenix.

The field includes Yani Tseng, who is number one in the rankings right now as well as the number two spot holder, Jiyai Shin. Cristie Kerr will be playing, currently holding the fifth spot, and to make four out of the top ten appearance, Karrie Webb wiill compete as well. Others include Christina Kim, Paula Creamer, Laura Davies and Morgan Pressel.
