Michelob Ultra Open Live

The ladies of the LPGA get to show their stuff this Thursday as the Michelob Ultra Open starts up from May 7^th to the 10^th. The purse is 2.2 million dollars and everyone is gearing up for a great tournament with one of the LPGA Tour's premier events.

The tournament is played in Williamsburg, VA at the Kingsmill Resort and Spa at the River Course. The ladies are certain to be challenged at the River Course at Kingsmill, which is bordered by the James in the heart of the historic city of Williamsburg. Ranked number 6 by Golfweek Magazine in Virginia's top ten courses, the River at Kingsmill

The defending champion is Annika Sorenstam, who has had a total of 72 official LPGA wins and has earned more than $22 million dollars. With 10 majors under her belt, Sorenstam is definitely a favorite to win. Last year, the LPGA champion defeated four players by seven strokes putting Alison Fouch in second and Karen Stupples. Last year Sorenstam took home $330,000 from the Michelob ULTRA open.
