HSBC Women Golf Champions Live

Coming up next week is the LPGA HSBC Women Golf Champions Live which will be held from February 25^th to the 28^th in Singapore, for a prize purse of $1,300,000. This is only the second year for the tournament but already it is well loved by participants and spectators, and is 72 holes long held at the Tanah Merah Country Club, Garden Course in Singapore. The Garden Course of the Tanah Merah Country Club is a Par 72 with the yardage 6,572 and last year the tournament was won by Jiyai Shin who defeated Katherine Hull by just two strokes for a total of -11. That got her a check for $300,000 and put Hull in second place for just over $180,000. Angela Park and Paula Creamer tied for third place with Angela Stanford and three players tied for the sixth place spot which got them a check for nearly $58,000. Those players were Lorena Ochoa, Jane Park and Sun Young Yoo.

The field this year features Sun Young Yoo, Angela Standord, Jiyai Shin, Lorena Ochoa and Angela Park, as well as Christie Kerr, Katherine Hull and Juli Inkster as well as many other women including sponsor invitations Shanshan Feng and Amanda Blumenherst as well as qualifier Joey Poh and several alternates.
