Indiana is the next stop for the Nationwide Tour this week as Victoria National Golf Club is set to host the inaugural edition of the United Leasing Championship. Most of the top 18 players on the money list of the Nationwide Tour are on the list save for Paul Haley II, who is the leader on that score. The Victoria National Golf Club has been designed by the renowned golf course architect Tom Fazio and had opened its doors for professional golf in the year 1998. The course ranks at number 35 in Golf Digest’s top 100 American courses. The course has held the USGA Senior Amateur Championship back in 2006 as well as a senior LPGA event in its short history.

Casey Wittenberg is one of the favourites for the weekend as he has been tipped to pass Haley for the money lead. The former trails by only $4,215 and with the latter not on the field for this tournament, things are looking up for Wittenberg. If he does manage to win the tournament, which would be a third for the current year, Wittenberg can earn a well-deserved promotion to the PGA Tour. The last 3 events in which Wittenberg has competed at all yielded top 10 finishes which includes a tie for the tenth position at the US Open. This is going to be one exciting weekend.
