Nationwide Childrens Hospital Invitational Live

The Nationwide Tour next holds the Childrens Hospital Classic, which will be from October 6^th to the 9^th. Scott Gardiner won the tournament last year, winning $90,000 of the $500,000 prize. The venue for the tournament is the Black Creek Club in Chattanooga, Tennessee. There are just four tournaments left to go for the 2011 season of Nationwide Tour golf. Next up is the Miccosukee Championship, held October 13^th through the 16^th in Miami, Florida. The final two tournaments are the Winn Dixie Jacksonville Open and the Nationwide Tour Championship at Daniel Island.

Here is a peek at the field for the Nationwide Children's Hospital Classic. Alistair Presnell is expected to attending this event along with Scott Gardiner, the defending champion, and Jeff Quinney. On the Nationwide Tour of Golf this week the Children's Hospital Invitational live will be held and this tournament is one of the most looked forward to tournaments on the tour, held at the OSU Golf Club at Scarlet in Columbus, Ohio with an $800,000 purse, and held from July 21^st to the 24^th. D.J. Brigman is the defending champion, returning this year to try to take home another $144,000 prize and Jamie Lovemark came in second last year with nine under while David Mathis took third with eight under. Next up on the Nationwide Tour, the Utah Championship presented by Utah Sports.

The Nationwide Tour will host the Nationwide Childrens Hospital Invitational this week, the tournament dates July 19^th through the 25^th, and it will be played at the Ohio State University Scarlet Course, which is located in Columbus, Ohio. The tournament has a great history, although not a long one. It was played on this same course for the first time in July of 2007. Jack Nicklaus is the honorary host for the event, having been an Ohio State University golfer and a native of the area. The venue is a Par 71, with 7455 yards. It was built in 1940. The previous winners for this tournament were as follows: last year, Derek Lamely took the title, and in 2008 it was Bill Lunde. The first year of the tournament an amateur named Daniel Summerhays was the winner for this tournament.

The top spot goes to Chris Kirk, who has a total of $267,769 and then Kevin Chappell comes in at second with $267,328.
