The course has been redesigned by Olson Beatty Golf in the year 2007 and stands at 7,086 yards at par 70.

Langer currently leads Colin Montgomerie by more than $800,000 for the top spot in the money list for the Champions Tour. This week poses a great opportunity for Langer to increase his lead even further as Montgomerie will not be on the field. The money leader currently has five wins for the season and is the only player on the Tour to have scored more than two wins for the season. He finished the Boeing Classic last week at joint 15th place which was the first time in six events that he finished outside the top 10. The Shaw Charity Classic 2014 will be the eighteenth official Champions Tour event which will be held in Canada. The event will also have a couple of Canadian golfers – Rod Spittle and Jim Rutledge – on the field.
