All week from Monday, August 24th to Sunday, August 30th is the Boeing Classic, hosted at the TPC Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Course in Snoqualmie, Washington with an amazing field and a purse of $1,800,000. This Champions Tour even was founded in 2005 and it is played every year in August in this venue. The tournament was called the Boeing Greater Seattle Classic for the first two years that it was played, and the main sponsor of the tournament is Boeing, the very same aerospace and defense corporation, who is based in Seattle, Washington.

Jack Nicklaus himself designed the TPG Snoqualmie Ridge, which is a private golf course that opened in 1999. Starting in 2007, the tournament began being played the week after the JELD-WEN tradition, which is a Senior Major championship tournament. The purse for 2007 was $1.6 million and the winner got to take home a big check for $240,000. In 2007, that big check went to Dennis Watson who won after a playoff. It was an exciting seven man sudden death, and was the biggest playoff in the tour's history. Each of the seven finished off the 54 holes with a score of 207, which was nine under par. Dennis Watson finally putted an eagle at the number two playoff hole.

For the 2008 tournament the purse increased by $100,000 and the winner walked away with $15,000 dollars more than the previous year. Tom Kite finished up with 202 at the final round, which was fourteen under par and two strokes below his nearest competitor, Scott Simpson. Will the 2009 year see a repeat of the exciting action of 2007, or will a player step up and take the tournament without a playoff? Find out with your exclusive membership.
