On the Champions Tour of Golf this week, the AT and T Championship, held at the TPC San Antonio, which is of course at AT and T Canyons in San Antonio, Texas. The dates are from the 26th of October to the 28th and the defending champion for this $1,850,000 tournament is Fred Couples, taking home $270,000. The next event will be from the 1st of November to the 4th, and it is called the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, held in Scottsdale, Arizona, and after that, the Champion's Tour Q-School will start on the 13th of November.
The most recent Champion's Tour event will be the Greater Hickory Classic at Rock Barn. This event was from the 12th of October to the 14th and it was played at the Rock Barn Golf in Conover, North Carolina, with a $1,600,000 purse. Fred Funk was the big winner, taking home $240,000. Players this year include Jay Haas, Mike Goodes, Jay Don Blake, Tom Pernice Jr and David Peoples as well as Mark O'Meara, Bob Gilder, Larry Nelson, John Jacobs and Brad Bryant. Robin Byrd and Hale Irwin will also be playing in this event.

This week on the Champions Tour the AT&T Championship will be held at the TPC San Antonio – ATT Canyons in San Antonio in the lone star state. The Purse for this Texas tournament is $1,800,00 and it was held October 14th through the 16th. This event will feature Rod Spittle returning to defending his 2010 title, where he walked away with $262,500. The next tournament on the calendar is the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, which will be from November 3rd to the 6th at the TPC Harding Park Golf Club in San Francisco, California.

Before this tournament was the AT&T Championship it was called the SBC Championship from 2000 to 2005. In 2007, the tournament winner was John Cook with a score of 198. Mark O'Meara was his runner up with 2 points over at 200. In 2006, Fred Funk won against Chip Beck, with Funk taking 201 points and Beck with 202. Jay Haas won in 2005, with Tom Purtzer as runner-up and in 2004 it was Mark McNulty and Gary McCord. In 2003 it was Craig Stadler with the win taking 198 points to Bob Gilder's 202.
The Leaderboard for the Champion's Tour has John Cook in the lead right now, but only eighth on the money list. His total is 197. In second position is Keith Fergus, with 200 points. After that we have two tied in third, John Morse and Jay Haas, who both have 201 points. However, Haas is second on the money list.
