On the Champion's Tour this week is the Allianz Championship, held at The Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, Florida. The purse for this event is $1,800,000 with the winner walking away with $270,000 of that. It happens February 10th through the 12th and last year it was Tom Lehman who took home the title. The next tournament will be the ACE Group Classic at the TwinEagles Golf Club in Naples, Florida, from February 17th through the 19th. In March, the Champions Tour will hold the Toshiba Classic in California.

Michael Allen and Mike Goodes are playing in this event. Kenny Perry and John Harris are also on the field along with Phil Blackmar and Chip Beck. The Allianz Championship is the next tournament in February for the Champion's Tour, and afterward we will see the tour head to Naples, Florida to play on The Quarry for The ACE Group Classic, February 18th through the 20th. Also, the Toshiba Classic will happen March 11th through the 13th at the Newport Beach Country Club in California. The Allianz Championship happens February 11th through the 13th. The venue is the Old Course at Broken Sound which happens in Boca Raton, Florida and the purse is $1,800,000 with the winner taking home a big check for $225,000. The tournament started in 2007 and the first winner was Mark James. The 2008 winner was Scott Hoch from the United States and then the next year another American, Mike Goodes took the title. Last year, Bernhard Langer walked away with the top spot and will be defending his title this year.

The PGA Tour is just getting started and now the Champion's Tour has some tournaments time this year one of which is the Allianz Championship, February 15th through the 21st. For those not familiar with the Champion's Tour, it is for golfers aged fifty and older, some of which have won many, many titles on the regular PGA Tour. Indeed the field for most of the Champion's Tour events contains more talent than some PGA Tournaments. You can watch this Champion's Tour event this coming February 15th by getting your membership.

The legends of golf play at the Old Course at Broken Sound in Boca Raton, Florida, and the tournament course is a Par 72. It's a beautiful with lots of water to avoid, and a unique look that no other golf course in southern Florida can boast. Monday begins the Pro-Am event, with round one beginning on Friday, February 19th beginning at 10:30 AM. Round two is set to start at 10:00AM on Saturday, February 20th and then the event will conclude on Sunday, February 21st with the third and final round starting at 10:00AM.

The players compete for $1.7 Million dollars and the field begins with the defending champion who took home $255,000 in 2009, Mike Goodes.
