The 70th Senior PGA Championships happen this Thursday, May 21st, and lasts until May 24th. The field will be full of PGA Champions including 13 Ryder Cup Champs, 25 Major trophy winners and an incredible total of ten members from the World Golf Hall of Fame.

The Tournament is played at the Canterbury Golf Club in Beechwood, Ohio. This is the 70th annual tournament being played on this course, and Canterbury was rated in the top 100 of America's golf courses. This year players on the Canterbury Course will play to a total of 6,895 yards, and the course in par 70, but with a serious twist. Holes 10 – 15 will be the opening six, and then the normal front nine will be played. Then the final three holes will be played as normal, but they are challenging – the first a par 5 at 616 yards, then a 229 yard Par 3, and finally hole 18 which is 439 yards.
This year's tournament will feature some of the greatest players from the recent past of PGA history, and the course has had an illustrious and rich past over the years being the tournament for two of the Western Open events more than 70 years ago. Last year, Jay Haas from the U.S took home the trophy, while 2007 saw Denis Watson winning. Jay Hass was the 2006 champion as well, taking it from Mike Reid in 2005. Hale Irwin won in 94, John Jacobs from the U.S. In 2003 and the 2002 tourney winner was Fuzzy Zoeller.
