Tiger Woods Hands Zach Johnson A Two Shot Lead

The Quail Hollow Championship played it's third round this week, and Tiger Woods had a little trouble on the last two holes, three putting the 17th hole and missing a putt on the 18th that was only six feet long to get a 70 on his scorecard. This gave Zach Johnson a chance to take the lead and he did, carding a 68 in the tournament.

Johnson previously had two bogies, but with renewed confidence he went on to sweep up three quick holes, which gave him four shots including an eagle on the 8th hole. He went on to garner three more birdies in the back nine which certainly gives him a chance to win.

“I didn't get off to the start I necessarily wanted but I remained patient and I think that was the key for me today," the 33-year-old Johnson said. "I'm happy to be (leading) but at the same time I don't want to get overly complacent."

Johnson won the Sony Open title in January in Hawaii and if he wins the Quail Hollow it will be his second win of the year.
