Mark Webber Takes Red Bull To The Top In Day One at Barcelona

Mark Webber The first testing day in Barcelona saw some exciting driving by many of the drivers, including one driver in particular who was able to come out on top. Mark Webber, who is driving for Red Bull Racing, took the first day's testing in Barcelona, as the driver's tried to grab some asphalt at the Circuit de Catalunya, on Thursday for the first practice session of the Formula One Championship. The next test will be on Saturday, March 2nd and then the Formula One season will start with the Australian Grand Prix, March 15th through the 17th.

Mark Webber set the fastest time of the day using soft tires in the afternoon session. The morning session was plagued by rain. Webber, who hails from Australia, commented on the rain and weather, calling it “pretty heavy.” He said that there was a tail wind going into turn one, and also said that it was dustry, thanks to the wind. Mark Webber is the Formula One 2008 World Champion, and he completed a total of 113 laps on Thursday. Lewis Hamilton, who drives for Mercedes, was right behind Webber with the second fastest time of the day.
