Kimi Raikkonen has taken ill as the drivers of the Formula One Championship prepare to do battle on the testing rack at Barcelona, which is the site of both the first and the second test before the beginning of the Formula One Championship, which will begin on March 15th and go through until the 17th in Melbourne, Australia, and then onto the second race of the year in Malaysia, which starts on the 22nd of March and will go to the 24th. The second test for the Formula One Championship is on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013.
Kimi Raikkonen, who races for Lotus, had to drop out of the regular schedule after being overtaken by an illness. At this point, it is suspected that he has food poisoning, although that may not be the case. It happened overnight before the practice session began. Davide Valsecchi, the third driver for the Lotus team will be taking over for Raikkonen. Romain Grosjean, the second driver, had already returned home, but will be recalled to the circuit. Kimi Raikkonen may not be out of the event completely, but may return for Sunday's race.
