May 17th through the 20th the Volvo World Match Play Championship will be held at the Finca Cortesin in Casares, Andalucia, Spain. This golf tournament is worth two million and seven hundred and fifty thousand Euros and it will be followed by the May 24th through the 27th BMW PGA Championship which will take place at the Wentworth Club in Surrey, England. This tournament is worth 4.5 million Euros. After that, the European Tour holds the ISPS Handa Wales Open from May 31st to the 3rd of June in the City of Newport, Wales.

On the European Tour, Rory McIlroy leads the Race to Dubai standings right now. He is followe dby Russia's Louis Oosthuizen. Justin Rose, who hails from England comes in next. After that is Branden Grace from Russia and Peter Hanson. Lee Westwood is next and Francesco Molinari will take the seventh spot. In eighth right now, we have Nicolas Colsaerts, followed by Scotland's very own Paul Lawrie. Finally, the tenth place in the Race to Dubai rankings goes to Robert Rock who comes to us from England.

The European Tour will hold the Volvo World Match Play Championship live this week, joining the Madeira Islands Open BPI which starts and ends on the same day, at the Porto Santos Golfe in Madeira, Portugal and then we move onto the May 26th through 29th BMW PGA Championship, held for 700,000 Euros at the Wentworth Club in Surrey. The Volvo Championships is held May 19th through the 22nd and the venue is the Finca Cotesin Golf Club in Cesares in Andalucia, Spain. The prize purse for this tournament is three million four Euros and the most previous tournament to this one was the Open de Espana, held at the Real Club de Golf from May 5th through the 8th won by Thomas Aiken. Lee Westwood took the Ballantine's Championship before that, held April 28th through May 1st and Nicolas Colsaerts was the big winner of the Volvo China Open, which was held April 21st through April 24th.

The current race to Dubai standings have Charl Schwartzel in first place with Luke Donald coming in second. Martin Kaymer from Germany takes third and Denmark's Anders Hansen is fourth. Miguel Angel Jimenez from Spain comes in at fifth and the rest of the top ten include Thomas Aiken, Alvaro Quiros and Lee Westwood, as well as Rory McIlroy and Nicolas Colsaerts.
