The most recent European Tour event was the Omega European Masters, which offered a prize purse of €2,000,000, and it is still going on as this is being written. Miguel Angel Jimenez from Spain is first in that event right now, with a score of fourteen under while Edoardo Molinari and Matteo Manassero, both from Italy, with a score of eleven under. Before that was the Johnny Walker Championship, won by Edoardo Molinari with the Czech Open 2010 before that with Peter Hanson as the winner. Martin Kaymer won the US PGA Championship.

The KLM Open is set to tee off at the Kennemer Golf and Country Club in Zandvoort, Netherlands on August 20th and running until the 23rd. Signed up for the European tour event are hot shots Christian Cevaer, John Bickerton, and James Kingston who are all ranked near the top of the charts right now. Paul Lawrie and Colin Montgomerie have also expressed interest in participating in the event and should be interesting to watch considering that they are major contenders in the Race to Dubai.

Last year’s winner Darren Clark wouldn’t past up on the opportunity to defend his title this year hoping to bring back some of the magic he had with last year’s win. The course these golfers will be trying to conquer at the Kennemer G&CC is one of the easier ones on the tour. Water on the course is practically non-existent and the larger and easy to approach greens aren’t very well defended by sparse bunkers. So what does that mean for the golf fan? Those watching online at watchlivegolf.com can be sure not to miss a thing and hopefully fans will get to see low scores and exciting play like we have seen previously.

The European number one isn’t going to be making an appearance; Paul Casey is leading the pack with an average of 6.65 points over 47 events but has chosen to sit this one out. Be sure to capture all of the action on watchlivegolf.com where you can be sure to stay informed and watch things as they happen.
