The Joburg Open Live

The Joburg Open began on the European Tour back in 2007, and this tournament is here once again in 2010, as the new season of professional golf begins. The event is January 14^th to the 17^th and will be played at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club, which is one of the nicest and most prestigious of all the golf clubs in South Africa and you can watch this tournament played live starting on Thursday by getting your membership at the banners on this page. There is a Pro-Am tournament which begins the day before this tournament does at Johannesburg, and the Joburg Open will be both a PGA Tour and European Tour event and will count towards the Order of Merit. There is a million and three hundred thousand Euros in prize money to give away, and the field consists of 98 professional golfers from each tour – The PGA and European, and then ten extras for a total of 206 participating in this event. This is an important event for the City of Johannesburg and for the PGA and European Tours.

Your field this year will consist of some pretty awesome talent including Anders Hansen who is golfing on the very first tee on the day that the tournament starts, followed by James Kingston, Darren Clarke, Chris Wood and Richard Stern.
