The European Tour will be traveling to Malmo, Sweden next week for the SAS Masters, a tournament which began in the 1960's, an incarnation of the Volvo Open. More than a million and a half Euros are ready to be given away at this tournament, which was the first event to be played in Sweden, and still the only event on the tour to take place in Scandanavia. The official tournament, with its current name began in 1991, and we'll have all the action from the event right here on www.watchlivegolf.com.

Last year, the weather was cold and the wind was harsh but Peter Hanson was able to fight his way through the elements for his second career European Tour Title. This was good news for the tournament host, as Hanson became the first Sweden native to win this tournament in ten years, the previous being Jesper Parnevik playing on the Arlandastad course. Another Swede tied for second last year, Pelle Edberg, tying with England's Nick Dougherty. For Dougherty, it was the second time in a row that he had attained a runner-up finish. Peter Hanson took his victory with a one over seventy one to walk away the 2008 SAS Masters title.

This year, will it be another Swede that takes it for the home team or will someone else come out of the woodwork to win? Previous winners on this tour include the following, from when it went throug its first major name change, from the Volvo Scandinavian Masters to the Scandic Carlsberg Scandinavian Masters. Mikko Ilonen, Marc Warren, Mark Hensby, Luke Donald and Adam Scott. If you want to watch this tournament get your membership today and you'll be able to watch in high quality video streams and feeds.
