This tournament listed the prize money at only $750,000 back in 2001, but last year, the tournament prize money equaled two and a half million dollars and last year’s champion was Spaniard Alvaro Quiros. If you want to watch this exciting golfing event then get your membership at any of the links located on this page and you can see the tournament from start to finish in high quality streaming video.

The tournament has been hosted at the Doha, Qatar Golf Club since 1998, in Doha, Qatar. The course is desert type terrain and is 7,374 yards long, played in January as part of the European and Asian Tours. The defending champion is Quiros, but in 2008 it was Adam Scott. Retief Goosen won it the year prior to that and we saw Henrik Stenson take home the 2006 title. Adam Scott is the only person to win this tournament twice, having taken another title back in 2002 and the first winner was at the 1998 tournament – Andrew Coltart.

The field this year looks just as it should for such a prestigious tournament, featuring Henrik Stenson, Lee Westwood from England, Kenny Perry, Paul Casey, Ian Poulter, Sergio Garcia and Martin Kaymer as well as many other golfers invited from the top fifty in the world right now. Also invited were winners from the European Tour Order of Merit Masters including Colin Montgomerie, Todd Hamilton, Michael Campbell and Shaun Micheel.
