The European Tour season has now moved into its core with some of the most popular events on the tour coming up in the next few weeks. The Open De Espana 2014 will be held at the PGA Catalunya Resort, which will host the Open De Espana for the first time since 2009 when Thomas Levet won the title. The weather at this time of the year is expected to be reasonable and the 7127 par 72 event should be a high scoring one with its long and winding fairways. Accurate ball strikers are expected to prevail at this tournament as the rough will be up and the fairways are narrow and tight.
For those golfers who are wayward off the tee, life could become very difficult at the Open De Espana 2014. There are plenty of tree and water in play on plenty of the holes. Golfers with good GIR and putting skills will be rewarded here as long as they keep to the fairways. The last major event to be held here was the Open De Espana in 2009 and that provides some clues as to who plays well on this course. However, the final stage of Q-school is annually held at the PGA Catalunya Resort and the men who will fight it out have course experience. It should be a joy to witness the European Tour Live – Open De Espana 2014.
