One of the biggest golf events of the year that isn't actual on a Tour is the Nedbank Golf Challenge and it will be held this year from December 3rd through the 6th. The tournament began in 1981, where it was called the Million Dollar Challenge, because at the time the prize fun equaled a million dollars in U.S. Currency. However, as the players hit the field at Sun City, South Africa, they will play for a prize purse of $4,385,000. The tournament is played at the Gary Player Country Club, which is a 7,162 yard course that is a Par 72. This year, the field will include some serious talent as the Masters Champion for this year as well as the Player's Champion. Also on the field will be five players from the Presidents Cup competition and three from the Ryder Cup. Three South Africans will also be playing and showing off their local talent as the Africa's Major is played starting December 3rd. Sweden's Henrik Stenson will be headlining this tournament, having won the tournament in 2008.

Besides Stenson, Richard Stern will be one of the South African's participating in this tournament as well as Robert Allenby from Australia. Another South African is Tim Clark and then we will see Angel Cabrera from Argentina on the field as well. England brings two players to the field in Luke Donald and Ross Fisher. Also, South African Retief Goosen, Robert Karlsson, Hunter Mahan, Nick Watney and Rory McIlroy will be playing. Don't miss this exciting tournament.
