On the European Tour this week, the Dubai World Championship, the famous end of year tournament that is worth $8,000,000 and runs from the 22nd of November to the 25th. This event will be the final tournament of the European Tour 2012 calender, and it will be played at the Jumeirah Golf Estates, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The most recent tournament before this one was the SA Open Championship, held in South Africa from November 15th to the 18th, and won by Henrik Stenson with seventeen under.

The Dubai World Championship of Golf is the end of the European Tour of Golf and the tournaments along the way have been called the Race to Dubai as these golfers compete. With just over two and a half million Euros in prize money Roy McIlroy leads the Race to Dubai. Lee Westwood takes the number two spot with his winnings at $2,410,277.
