Castello Masters Live

On the European Tour this week, the Castello Masters will be played, running from October 20^th to the 23^rd, and held at the Club de Campo de Mediterraneo, Castelion in Valencia, Spain, a city known for great motorsport as well as golf. This tournament is worth two million Euros and will be followed by the Andalucia Masters which is held in Sotogrande Spain at the Club de Golf Valderrama, from October 27^th to the 30^th. The previous tournament on the tour was the October 13^th - 16^th Portugal Masters held at the Oceanico Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura.

Some of the players that will be on the field this year include Sergio Garcia, Andres Romero and Stephen Dodd as well as Soren Kjeldsen, David Howell and Colin Montgomerie. The Castello Masters Costa Azahar will be held at the Club de Campo del Mediterraneo in Castellon, Valencia, Spain. The prize purse is €2,000,000 and it will be held October 21^st through the 24^th. The most recent tournament before this one that has ended was the October 7^th through the 10^th, Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, held at the Old Course at St. Andrews in Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, Fife Scotland. The purse for this tournament was $5,000,000 and it was won by Martin Kaymer. Before that, the Vivendi Cup.

The European Tour continues its season with the Castello Masters which is October 22^nd through the 25^th, played at the Club de Campo del Mediterraneo, in Castellon, Spain. This European Tour event was won last year by Sergio Garcia and features a total of 7111 yards on the course. This is a big tournament and on that you'll definitely want to catch, the prize purse for this event being a whopping $2,000,000 dollars. The Club de Campo del Mediterraneo in Castellon, Spain features a world class course that is a Par 71, with the first nine holes being a total of 3676 yards. The back nine has 3435 yards and the shortest hole is the Par 3 sixteenth with just one hundred and eighty six yards. The longest hole is the fourth, a Par 5 and it is six hundred and thirty four yards long. There are actually three Par 5 holes on this course, the fourth, eighth and thirteenth. This course has seen some great golfing since the European Tour has started hosting this leg of the tournament there.

As for the field, the Category one entrants so far include the following. Category one entrants are those who have a major win.
