Ballantines Championship Live

Jeju Island in the Korea Republic is the site of another European Tour event, this one titled the Ballantine's Championship and will be held from April 22^nd through April 25^th 2010. This tournament features some great European Tour golfers and a great course, the Pinx Golf Club, and the race to Dubai continues with Ian Poulter out front. The prize fund for the Ballantine's Championship includes a 366,000 Euro prize for the winner of this event, while the runner up will receive 244,440 Euros. 137,720 Euros await the third place winner and then 110,000 for fourth place. Besides Poulter, Charl Schwartzel, Ernie Els, Lee Westwood and Paul Casey make up the rest of the top five in the 2010 Race to Dubai, with Charl Schwartzel being in second place on the leader board right now. Number six on the Dubai list is German golfer Marin Kaymer.

Other players that may be attending the Ballantines Championship include Henrik Stinson, Y.E. Yang and Ross McGowan as well as many others from the top sixty Race to Dubai category as well as players and qualifiers from the Asian Tour such as Chang-Kya Hong and Ki-Sang Lee. Over the weekend comes the Ballantine's Championship Live 2009 which starts on Thursday, April 23^rd at 5:00. The European Tour Event, with a purse of 2.7 million dollars, will be held Thursday to Sunday at the Pinx Golf Club on Jeju Island. 

South Africa native Ernie Ells is a favorite to win, with three victories already under his belt, the last one in 2008. Adding even more excitement are golf legends Fred Couples and Colin Montgomerie who will be joining the game.
