Online Golf

The Australian Open presented by Century 21 will take place at The Lakes Golf Club and it is worth 1,500,000 Australian Dollars and it will happen December 2nd through the 5th. The OneAsia tournament just prior to this one was held October 14th through the 17th at the Royal Orchid International Golf Club and it was worth $1,000,000. Kim Felton won that tournament, called the Midea China Classic, and she took home $180,000. The final was between Felton and Simon Yates and Mitchell Brown came in third with Bang Doo-Hwan in fourth and Stephen Allan in fifth.

The field for this tournament includes a huge number of Australians including Stephen Allan, Brad Andrews, Stuart Appleby, Jamie Arnold, Aaron Baddeley and Matthews Ballard, as well as Adam Bland but also include Do-Eun An and Bang Doo-Hwan from Korea and American Bobby Gates. Steven Bowditch and Stuart Bouvier will also be in the 156 man field. The Asian Tour continues this week with the Australian Open of Golf, a tournament located at the New South Wales Golf Club. This tournament is one of the world's most respected championships and there have been winners and players competing here that come from the highest ranks of golf in the world. Online Golf

This tournament happens December 3rd through the 6th, and the players that will be heading to the New South Wales Golf Club in Sydney. The prize purse is 1.5 Million dollars Australian and the tournament is open to both professional and amateur golfers with an entry fee. The tournament is now part of the OneAsia Super Series and that means that there are eight slots open for players that are not exempt. Monday, November 30th is the last date that players can qualify.

Well, the field is ripe with talent this year but one player that will not be playing is Greg Norman, most commonly known as 'The Shark'. He had to pull out of the tournament because of an injured shoulder, but he'll be teaching a group of junior golfers at the tournament instead.
