Australian Open Golf Live

The Asian Tour continues this week with the Australian Open of Golf, a tournament located at the New South Wales Golf Club. This tournament is one of the world's most respected championships and there have been winners and players competing here that come from the highest ranks of golf in the world. This tournament happens December 3^rd through the 6^th, and the players that will be heading to the New South Wales Golf Club in Sydney. The prize purse is 1.5 Million dollars Australian and the tournament is open to both professional and amateur golfers with an entry fee. The tournament is now part of the OneAsia Super Series and that means that there are eight slots open for players that are not exempt. Monday, November 30^th is the last date that players can qualify.

Well, the field is ripe with talent this year but one player that will not be playing is Greg Norman, most commonly known as 'The Shark'. He had to pull out of the tournament because of an injured shoulder, but he'll be teaching a group of junior golfers at the tournament instead.
